Ace was founded with the simple aim of providing excellent customer service with a human face. Unlike many of our competitors we like to get all of our technical staff out meeting our clients, that way they can really understand your systems and the way you work. We always aim to provide solutions that will last allowing us to build long term relationships with both our customers and suppliers.

Located just minutes from Junction 26 of the M1 we are ideally located for our clients in Derby, Nottingham and further afield.

Meet The Team

James Twigg

Finance Director

James is a qualified management accountant and has put those skills to good use in several successful businesses. He was one of the two former owner Directors at Orchid IT where the Ace team first worked together. James is involved in the strategic decisions and advises on financial and operational issues too.

When not working, James is usually trying to keep himself fit or watching The Mighty Rams.

Joe Lisney

Services Director

With over 10 years’ experience in the IT Industry, Joe has built up a breadth of experience and knowledge giving exceptional customer service to clients. He thrives on keeping customers happy and giving them the service they deserve. As well as being available at the end of the phone, Joe loves to get out and meet customers too, which can only help build a relationship based on trust.

Out of working hours Joe will spend his time either in the gym, socialising or being a car enthusiast.

Graham Elgie

Field Services Director

Over the last 20 years, Graham has built up an extensive knowledge of all things IT. He thrives when working with the customer on-site, helping them get the most from their IT investment and make the right choices going forward.

Graham loves to see a job through to the end, making sure the customer is happy with the work completed – it’s better to do the job properly once. Graham is qualified in the latest versions of Windows Server.

Out of working hours, Graham can be found taxiing his three kids around to parties or events or on the golf course or football pitch .

Glen Palmer-Barnes

Technical Director

Glen has been working in the IT world since the heady days of Windows 95 and NT4 he is the go-to man for all those obscure IT issues. He is qualified in the latest versions of Windows and VMWare to keep abreast of the latest developments and best practice, this coupled with 17 years of hands-on experience gives him an unrivaled depth of knowledge.

When not working, you can find usually find him on his bike, or wishing he was on his bike.

Ryan Parsons

Technical Consultant

Ryan can normally be found at the service desk, helping our customers with their IT issues. With a background in IT services, Ryan brings an ethos of customer service and a can-do attitude.

Ryan is a season ticket holder at Nottingham Forest FC and also enjoys playing cricket for a local club.
